Electronic Visit Verification
Clocking in and out, done right
Federal and Missouri law require every CDS visit to be verified electronically, and a visit that is not verified cannot be paid. That sounds like bureaucracy; it is actually the caregiver's paycheck protection. Two minutes at the start and end of each shift keeps payday boring, which is exactly how payday should be.
Two equally valid ways
Pick the one that fits the home
The mobile app
Clock in when you arrive and out when you leave, on your smartphone, from the consumer's home. The app is free and our onboarding call gets it installed and working before your first shift.
The consumer's home phone
No smartphone, or spotty rural signal? Call from the consumer's home telephone at the start and end of the visit instead. This method is fully approved by the state and works exactly as well. Neither method is second-class.
Before the first shift
We set it up with you
Our onboarding specialist calls before the first shift, gets the chosen method working, and does a practice run. Nobody's first clock-in should be a live experiment. Our standard is simple: clean clock-ins, more than 95% of the time, so corrections stay the exception.
Made a mistake?
Forgot to clock out, or the visit time changed? Use the EVV correction form the same week, by Saturday 11:59pm of the pay period, so the visit is verified in time to be paid on time.
The two hard rules
Clock only time actually worked, and clock only from where the care actually happened. Anything else is program fraud, which is reported to the state. It is the one part of this job with zero flexibility.
Why it protects you
A verified visit is a provable visit. If a payment or an audit question ever comes up, clean clock-ins are the end of the conversation, in your favor.
