How you get paid
$15.00 per hour. The pay week runs Sunday to Saturday, and payday is the following Thursday, by direct deposit or pay card. The rate is set by what the Department of Health and Senior Services funds, and if it ever changes, we will tell you, not surprise you.

Work the shift, clock it cleanly
Clock in and out with the app or the home phone. A visit must be electronically verified to be payable, so the clock-in is not admin around the job, it is how the job becomes a paycheck.

Stay inside the authorized hours
The consumer's plan of care sets the approved hours. Hours beyond the authorization are not payable by the program, so know the plan and schedule inside it.

The week closes Saturday
The pay week runs Sunday to Saturday. Any correction needs the EVV correction form by Saturday 11:59pm, so everything in the week is verified before payroll runs.

Paid Thursday
Direct deposit or pay card, your choice. Taxes are withheld like any job, and you get a W-2 every year, because this is real W-2 employment, not gig work.

Empeon Hub, your pay portal
Every paystub and your W-2 live at hub.empeon.com, on the web or the Empeon Hub app. When you are hired you will get a registration invitation by email from notifications@em.empeon.com, and that email is legitimate. Always type hub.empeon.com yourself rather than following links from texts you were not expecting.
Something the stub does not explain?
Call us at 417-218-2888 and ask for payroll. Missing hours are almost always a visit that was not verified, which is why clean clock-ins and the Saturday correction deadline matter.
Who actually employs you
In CDS you work for the consumer, the person you care for. Caring Companions is the vendor: we run the payroll, withhold and file the taxes, and issue your W-2 on the consumer's behalf. Practically, that means your paycheck questions come to us, and your schedule comes from the person you care for.
